The College of Law will offer a Master of Laws degree, a one-year program for attorneys holding law degrees from outside the United States. The first class of students will enroll in the fall semester of 2014. The degree, known as an LL.M., provides an introduction to the study of United States law and gives students a general, conversant level of understanding of United States legal institutions, substantive law, and practice. After completing the LL.M., and depending on the courses selected by the student, graduates may sit for the New York Bar.
