In this frame, the networking lab of Corporate Research based near Rennes, France, is looking for a postdoctoral candidate able to work on applied researches related to hybrid wired and wireless small scale networking. The PhD, fluent in English, should have been graduated for a thesis work in the field of communication network and based on network simulation. The practical knowledge of an event simulator tool of NS type is mandatory, including strong coding practice in C/C++. The knowledge of NS3 would be a real plus. The PhD will join a work in progress and be led by a senior researcher, targeting a complete simulation set-up of a small scale hybrid network. The simulation will be focused at the MAC level, especially 802.11n wireless, but extended investigations should be possible.
